Fusion is the treble a cappella group at Marcus High School. It is an extra curricular group and requires a year long enrollment in a Marcus Choral ensemble. The ensemble rehearses before school twice a week and a monthly Saturday workshop.

Students in this ensemble are expected to participate in the Texas All State process and exemplify the best of Marcus Choir. They have a very active performance schedule, performing for school, community, and private events across the Dallas Metroplex.

Fusion has competed in the International Competition for High School A cappella (ICHSA) in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2018. They have placed in the top three of the Southwest Semifinal every year and were the 2015 and 2018 Southwest Champions. They competed in New York City in the National Finals as one of the top 11 High School a cappella groups in the country and placed 3rd in the national finals in 2018.

Fusion was selected for the Best of High School A cappella compilation albums in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022.
Fusion’s single Tears was nominated for three CARA awards in 2022, Best Pop Song, Best High School Song, and Best High School Solo (Ria Chacko).
Fusion currently has three singles available on Spotify and Apple Music.
Fusion released their premiere EP, Stand in the Light in 2017. They released their second EP, What the Heart Wants… in 2019. Both are available on Spotify and Apple Music.
Fusion was featured on the Women’s A cappella Association compilation album WACA Vol. 5 in 2018.
